Yes, the Grand Priest from Dragon Ball Super is incredibly powerful, but until he throws down, we have to leave him off the list. We’d also like to state that although there may be some more powerful characters in anime, this list is based off of what we’ve seen. Personal preferences do have an impact when it comes to determining who would beat who. Whereas some characters may be clear standouts, there is always subjectivity when it comes to assessing powers. We think this list is pretty accurate, but is in no sense definitive. However, that doesn’t stop us from hypothesizing. Anime has such a varied cast of characters and powers, it can sometimes be hard to judge who would beat who in a one on one fight.
Ninjas, mutants, demons, cyborgs and aliens litter the screen with sword strokes powerful enough to slice through steel and energy blasts that can level mountains. In every fictional super powered universe, and every genre, there is a narrative crafted around who reigns supreme and this is especially true for anime characters.
